Keepin it movin

I left a great full-time job in motion graphics 11 years ago to go freelance.

Back in 2013, I had no clients in place, I didn’t even have a laptop but I felt a calling to share my foster care story through music and give my first solo album the promo it deserved after a year of after-work graft.

Since then, I have performed at Glastonbury, Lovebox and overseas festivals with my rap collective Jungle Brown. We’ve shared the stage with hip-hop legends like De La Soul and The Pharcyde - all independently!

Motion Graphics wise I have worked with the biggest creative agencies in London and the world, such as Saatchi & Saatchi and McCann, and Broadcasters like ITV.

From humble beginnings creating internal presentations and sizzle reels for the likes of Samsung, Asics and Coca Cola. To ads on the underground for Microsoft and more recently social media campaigns for Spotify, LoveIsland and Arsenal.

It’s been a wild ride which I don’t often step back to really appreciate because these jobs although they may sound sexy, are often very quick turnarounds and stressful. (:

Music, I will always do it and love the process, financially I can never rely on it but so grateful I took that leap of faith. It's been the driving force behind my best art.

All this to say, take a moment to reflect and celebrate your journey, some of us have come a very long way from where we started! Be proud of that journey and the growth to come.

P.S. I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter of family and full-time motion graphics in the new year!
